The Value of Nothing
F1 is back, NHL DFS and Trade deadling looms
Welcome back! The saying goes something like a Man is only as good as his word. I think we can apply this to all humans though so lets do that. A Person is only as good as their word and if their word is suspect or just hot trash we consider that person to be of lesser character. In the world of F1 there are more salacious story lines then basically any other sport. Sure the NFL has Domestic abuse but F1 has teams secretly snitching on each other, and Team principles being jabronis and sometimes just good ol fashioned heated screaming matches. All of this leads us to one of the most exciting kick offs of the year. Lets get into the tidbits!
Ford puts “values” above all else
Ford has demanded a resolution to the Christian Horner investigation ASAP citing “as we have indicated previously, Fords values are non negotiable” . It seems that Red Bull racings new engine partner for 2026 is looking to have the allegations of inappropriate behavior resolved asap. For what its worth I think this is a lot of smoke and distraction from a team who has absolutely dominated the grid last two seasons.
Bahrain GP betting odds
No surprise here but the odds for winning the first race of the year are heavily in favor of Max Verstappen taking victory at -360 but if you are looking for some spice maybe toss a sheckle over on Lando Norris whos MacLaren looked sharp at the end of last season. Norris is sitting at +2500 others who you may look at wagering on Lewis Hamilton is a +1400 along with Sergio Perez and second best odds to win are Charles Leclerc at +1000. Good luck and its lights out and we are Racing in Bahrain!
Deadline Looming
With the deadline looming many teams are looking to decide if they are buyers or sellers. Teams like Montreal and Ottawa should definitely be sellers and looking to acquire future building blocks (though Trevor Zegras to Montreal wont go away) one of the biggest questions is currently in Nashville where Juuse Saros the preds starting goalie who signed a 20M deal in 2021 looks to be a hot target. The LA kings are in desperate need of some goaltending depth and Saros certainly fits the bill. There are plenty of Goaltenders around such as Marc Andre fleury and Jake Allen. I dont recall a deadline where so many tenders have been on the market. Stay tuned for our Deadline day recap episode for all of our insight on what teams won and which ones lost.
