MLB opening day!
3 teams I love this year and some MLB DFS
Welcome to Opening Day 2024
Its finally here! its opening day 2024! every team is 0-0 and every fan is hopeful that this is the year they’re going to go on a run. Of course only one team will win it all this year and im going to give you 3 teams to keep an eye on this upcoming season. And if you make it to the end you might get a nice DFS surprise!
The Atlanta Braves
Sure the Braves are an easy pick this year if you arent a dodgers fan. Here are 2 reasons I am high on the Braves for 2024. Reason number one im high on the Braves: Ronald Acuna Jr. Acuna is one of the best young talents in the league and is only getting better. its easy to remember that he missed time last season but I fully expect to see another step forward from Acuna Jr. Reason two im high on the Braves: The pitching is elite. The staff from top to bottom is one of the best in the National League. Strider, Fried and Chris Sale all have plenty left I look at them as a top 10 rotation in the MLB.
The Baltimore Orioles
I love me some Orioles this year and with the Addition of Corbin Burnes to this young and talented roster I only see them on the upswing this season. Reason one I love the Orioles this year: The Roster depth. The talent is incredible but its also deep. From 1 through 9 this team can hit, defend and field and on the other side of the ball the rotation which was a question mark has only been solidified. There is no other thing. The whole team is good from top to bottom and they didnt even bring ALL of the young guys up to start opening day. AL east is a whole lot tougher.
The Arizona Diamondbacks
The Dbacks made a lot of noise behind a young core last season and I only see them taking steps forward. Reason one I love the Dbacks this season: Gabe Moreno. The young catcher was a phenom with the Jays farm system and I was beyond sad to see him go but he is so much fun to watch. This team is gritty and fun and can hit all over the line up. Reason two I love the Dbacks: Zach Gallen. Gallen enjoyed an incredible 2023 going 17-9 with 220 Strikeouts. Im looking forward to seeing Gallen compete for a Cy Young this season.
