We Are ALL Laughing!
Lando Wins, Boston Survives, and Round 2 Begins!
Round 2 Cometh, Baby!
After an incredible finish to round one, we are onto the next phase of the Stanley Cup playoffs with: the Oilers facing the Canucks, and the Stars vs the Avalanche. And in the East, it’s the Rangers and Hurricanes while the Panthers take on the Bruins in a fun rematch from last year’s first round. The Rangers got us started with a heart-attack inducing victory, and we have some more games coming today! My favorite part of the playoffs is watching team’s fans in agony after defeat or living in their glory after victory. See below for an example of the Latter.
“HAHAHAHA”
-an excerpt from our own Bruins’ fan Dubs
It’s official. We’ve owned this franchise for more than half a century and it sure as shit ain’t changing any time soon. Bruins fans were having Vietnam flashbacks to the Panthers series last year. Hell, even the results of the games were exactly the same. Bob Rob and Joseph Woll were doing the Spider-Man meme on a non-stop loop in the back of my mind all week and I wasn’t mentally prepared for the shitstorm that would be my mentions if we choked this series away in the exact same fashion. Luckily, it was Tyler Bertuzzi taking the bullet of being the only player to lose back to back 3-1 series leads. Frankly, he fully deserved it for the Charmin soft series he just played. Nothing is better than watching the Toronto Maple Leafs start their summer early. That being said, their tears are so much sweeter when they’re induced by the Bruins. What a goal by Pasta to win it in OT, what a celebration by the team, and what a series by Jeremy Swayman. Give that man a blank check and free beers for life.
What are your predictions for the rest of the playoffs? Do you think the Bruins can overcome the boogeyman from last year and defeat the Panthers? Let us know your thoughts on the Ocho at 8:00 EST every Wednesday or let us know on our social medias!
LANDO WINS MIAMI
An incredible sight in Miami as, for oncethis season, Max Verstappen did not win a race he finished. Lando Norris grabs his first-ever victory with Max finishing second, and Leclerc finishing third. I truly enjoyed the Ferrari race suits this weekend. The event was amazing, despite the US finding a way to over-complicate the beauty of a race weekend and another big L for Logan Sargent who had a DNF due to wrecking earlier in the race.
