HTTR, A Tiny Statue, and Weekend Wagers!
HTJD: Hail To Jayden Daniels!
I want to start this piece off by apologizing to our editor Evan Doyle, who is a long time Bengals fan. Every week I go to write a piece about what’s happened the week prior, and for some reason his Bengals are always on the losing end… and this week was no exception. The Washington Commanders have found their guy in Jayden Daniels. An asbolutely stirling performance against the afforementioned Bengals has put the league formally on notice. Passing for an incredible 80%+ completion percentage, he’s been a bright spot for a franchise that has had merely glimpses of hope over the past 15 seasons. RG3? Gone. Terry McLaurin? Incredible, bur has played with 11 (he’s been in the league for 5 seasons) different QBs. Alex Smith comeback? Fell short (but was fun to watch). Thiis team by and large has been teetering on the edge of disaster and somehow have found themselves in a position where they might FAFO and win the NFC East. The touchdown numbers may not be electric, but Daniels gives the Commanders a true stud at QB. I’m pumped to see where they go.

A Small Statue
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Somebody is going to die behind this offensive line. Like legally dead. Deceased. Your life es no más.
A small statue and a bedazzled coffin for the man! Jacoby is out here sacrificing his vital organs, his 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, you name it. He’s putting it on the line for the future of this franchise. 10 million seems like not enough money for what we’re putting this man through out there. “Jacoby Brissett drops back to pass.. and my god he’s bent in 3 cardinal directions”
Week 3 was a disaster as most primetime games have been for us as lately. The Patriots and Jets played for the first time since 1996 without Bill Belichick being involved on either side. The results were UGLY to keep it brief. A curb stomping on national television at the hands of our most hated rival was just what I needed to remind myself the first two weeks were a mirage. THAT was the Patriots team I expected to see this season. No offense to speak of, too many penalties, and 5 liabilities blocking out there. It was a curb-stomping of epic proportions.
I’m not even gonna talk about the mishandling of Drake Maye’s debut, you can check out the show for my rant on that. If I had to type my thoughts on that out, I’d get carpal tunnel. To give you the short of it; BAD call. He could’ve gotten hurt, the game was essentially meaningless at that point, and you didn’t let him do anything in the red zone so WHY is he out there. Protect him at all costs, because if we don’t, we’re in for another 4 years of misery.
Like I said before, check out the show from Wednesday to get my full synopsis on what happened last week. We’re onto the Niners this week and as a generational Brock Purdy hater, I can only hope they continue their free fall against us. Check out all the socials and we’ll see you next week.
