Look Alive- The Mariners Aren’t Dead Yet
The first big move of the MLB trade deadline has happened with Randy Arozarena being dealt to the Seattle Mariners from the Tampa Rays for two prospects (#14 and #15 in the Mariners system). It’s a pretty low point of entry for someone who was considered a solid bat in the middle of the line-up. Randy may not be a project player and only time will tell if this works out for the Mariners. What I do know is Seattle is no worse off now having acquired Arozarena and with any luck, some coffee, and the Seattle air will give his bat a boost and a huge bump to an absolutely destitute Mariner offense. Who else got dealt before the deadline? Let us know over on Twitter/X
Same Racers… New places!
We have a new Haas driver for next season as Esteban Ocon has made the move to sign a multi-year deal. The move comes on the same day that former Ferrari team principle Mattia Binotto was announced as Chief Technical and Operating Manager. With one race left until summer break, I can only image we will hear some more news in the coming weeks…. Like where does K-Mag land? Does Danny Ric move up to RB? Is Checo demoted or released? Plenty of stories, plenty of intrigue, and it only gets more interesting from here.
Weekend Wagers
Its Race Weekend, ladies and gentlemen, and last weekend I had to pivot when the cars were literally on the grid (Lando had a problem they fixed on the spot, I had to swap to Oscar! Join the Discord so you don’t miss out on these!) so this weekend for the Belgian GP, I am going back to the well.
Lando to win, Max on the podium, and let’s mix it up with a top six for Charles Leclerc who has been quietly racing well.
If you want a spicy pick for the race, take Charles Leclerc to Podium +800 as of the writing of this article.
For even more extra spice, Alex Albon for first retirement +1800 might be worth a dart throw (he has the most retirements in F1 in 2024).
Next week we will be back with some Olympic wagers and more!
